Friendly and professional, Rob and Ailsa have an extensive and varied repertoire - Country, Australiana, Old Standards, Rock'nRoll to mention a few. Their upbeat rhythms and vocals are real crowd pleasers, as are their costumes which match impeccably their themed song sets. Their appeal to all ages and nationalities is instantly established through their versatility, humour and obvious musical talent - so important in an international setting like Club Med. DayStar Entertainers (Rob & Ailsa) were asked to assist our Sleeping Out for the Salvos event outside the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart.
We primarily wanted live music that would create some ambience in the background during our evening.
We had neither met, nor heard DayStar before this night and only spoken to Rob on the phone - it was purely by recommendation from someone else, who had heard them and assured us that they would be exactly what we required.
And they were! Their professional, versatile and sensitive approach with their easy listening, cross-generational, wide music mix was everything that we wanted.
Their sound (both voice & music) is appealing and involving without being obtrusive, and they moved very freely from creating a background mood to being entertainers.
